Hitting Tips: How To Develop Bat Speed And Control

For The Baseball Hitter:

Fast Hands through the strike zone control bat speed, and they control the bat. So it’s important to think “fast hands” when you are taking BP or in the game. Hitting starts with the hands before anything else.

For The Baseball Hitting Coach:

The advice on hitting with your hands came from a number of veteran scouts who were speaking at a clinic here in Orlando in mid February.

If you are wondering what scouts look for in a young hitter it is bat speed and at control. Hand strengthening and hand flexibility exercises are key component in developing Fast Hands through the strike zone. Be sure your young hitter is completely aware of this conditioning principle. his advice was strongly recommended for girls softball hitters as well.
